I trust NOTHING from the CDC..they are now coming out and saying that their advice not to take ivermectin was just a recommendation.
I had a prescription for doxycycline in case I got COVID. I started taking it for a tick bite. I swear that I feel the best I have felt in a long time after taking this drug for 5 days. No signs of any kind of fatigue or brain fog that I had prior to the tick bite.
I have seen people recommend taking it in low dose form for things like fibromyalgia.
I will have to backtrack and figure out what I might have had on a chronic basis that could be fixed with an antibiotic.
Maybe look into intestinal bacteria?
I think antibiotics kill them, and they need replacing.
Don’t trust me, but look into it.
Chemicals have way more effects on human biology than what it has been tested for and side effects noted.
Usually a drugs effects are monitored as the effects are related to the disease being treated. Sometimes drugs are repurposed after they find out that one of the side effects can have therapeutic benefits in other conditions.
An excellent example is that of demeclocycline. It is a chemical cousin of doxycycline, but rarely used as an antibiotic, but is used to treat the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (siadh) in certain patients.
If you are going to take a medication for a long time please note; long term effects of most medication can effect other systems and are not well known.A good example is that of the fluoroquinolone antibiotics and tendon rupture. Be very cautious.
Get current textbooks on biochemistry, physiology, and pharmacology and human pathology and use them as references while doing your research. Don’t forget that not every side effect has been researched in great detail.Good luck.
Low doses of doxy are used as an anti-inflammatory
I used to take both doxycycline and tetracycline at different times for acne. They worked fine years ago, but the bacteria on my face apparently adapted, so now they’ll only respond to minocycline, but that one can make my eyes feel like they’re on fire. So I’m using a combination of clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide in a face ointment.
