ATLANTA — Todd and Julie Chrisley learned their federal prison sentencing on Monday months after they were found guilty in a tax evasion case.
A federal judge sentenced Todd Chrisley to 12 years in prison plus 36 months supervised release. His wife, Julie, was sentenced to 7 years in prison, plus 36 months supervised release.

I don’t believe God punishes......I do however believe he can hand out stern lessons and guidance......I can speak to that 1st hand BTW. 😏

A crime worthy of punishment, no doubt, but 12 years in prison seems a bit much. There are violent offenders serving much, much less time. They must be republicans or they’d have maybe gotten six months.
Didn’t Biden say, during his campaign, no one should ever do prison time for a nonviolent crime?
Georgia sentencing guidelines state most parole-eligible inmates are statutorily eligible for parole after serving one-third of their prison sentence.
So if he stays out of trouble possiblity out in 4 years.

I don’t recall hearing or reading anything about these people. But then I don’t watch tv, or read anything about tv ‘stars’. About the only tv I see is when I’m at my son’s house, and a football game is on the tube.
These folks are (were) trying to serve two masters. But that is prevalent in the ‘Christian’ world.
The local weekly newspaper shows pics of the local high school sporting events, including the cheer squads in action. They dress almost as skimpy as the college and pro ones, and do some very unnecessary movements. Most of these girls would no doubt tell you they are Christian.
It’s like I read once (here on FR? Not sure), “these modern cheerleaders are just pole dancers performing without poles”.
Rod Blagoiavich would still be in prison if Trump hadn’t let him out. His crime was trying to sell the senate seat vacated by Obozo. No money changed hands either, iirc.

The Chrisleys was once on a TV where I was, and the daughter Savannah had just gotten herself a ghastly shaved haircut. One episode of those clowns was enough for me.
But, 12 and 7 YEARS for cheating the government? Were they MAGA?
