In Florida too .. I pay a basic meter charge on two accounts so $42 a month. The solar does the rest. This year only paid for for about $30 of true kwH energy.

In CT, transmission costs and generation costs are billed separately. Only the generation portion of the bills will go up.

"The people of Connecticut just apparently re-elected that horrible Ned Lamont as governor..."

Um, record high gas, heating oil, food prices, and crime. But it's not so bad - let's elect them again.

"Just re-elected Blumenthal too."

Yup - another old white guy, when they could have had a young Hispanic female.

Dems - the party of old white racists.

Cool... but for a real picture, what’s your estimated ROI/over time?

How much did Eversource donate to Democrats in the last election cycle.

They donated $2,500, to DINO Joe Manchin in WV. The remaining $100,000+ dollars of their influence went to nine different Republican candidates and PAC'S.

Got liberal Charley Crist rebates ten years ago, so it’s all paid for.

The election is over, so it’s now ok to raise the rates.

New England COULD have had a supply of fairly cheap electricity from Quebec.

First they tried to get a right of way approved through NH.

The route would have crossed very few roads and be mostly unseen in northern NH.

It would have been in the view of more households in central NH.

The enviro whackos, the same clowns who claim to want clean energy and electric cars, electric heat, etc., came out of the woodwork to fight it.

The folks with houses that would have their views "ruined" fought it.

They won.

Then an attempt was made to run it through Maine, same story.

None of the antis I queried had ever been on the power line road or snowmobile trail along the big DC line from the Quebec border through the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

It is one of my favorite rides, with amazing views.

For several years, a friend and I had been driving back and forth on VT route 2 from NH to St. Johnsbury, VT.

One day I asked him if he had ever noticed the power lines crossing over the road.

He hadn't. He was a retired mechanical engineer, had been a B-24 bombardier-navigator, and had fought from the bottom ball turret several times.

He had excellent eyesight, and was very good at noticing things.

The power lines cross at a 90 degree angle to the road over the trees.

You have about one second to see them, if you know where to look.

The enviro whackos forced the change from coal and oil to natural gas, then their pals in NY fought and stopped a gas line from the PA gas fields to NH.

The insane democrat policies, the enviro whackos and antis are responsible for the rate increases.

Should any of them freeze, that's their problem.

We are being ripped off big time.

In California the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant produces electricity at .6 cents a kw.

The high rates are to A) pay for the big salaries and pensions of state workers and B) to subsidize the very expensive “green” energy of solar and wind as they cannot compete in a free market.
