I am also married but back in the days when I was single the first few dates were always meet ups.

It took several dates before I would be alone with him in a car.

I was not paranoid, just prudent. Ok maybe the background checks were a little over the top. It was just a scan for open warrants. Nothing too detailed.

Thankfully that time is behind me. Can't imagine dating now days.
