Sarcasm acknowledged, but the mute button gets pressed whenever the USC band plays their two insidious ditties. If Congress could do something meaningful, they would outlaw the playing of those ”songs.” Fingernails on a chalkboard sound way better.

The USC tunes are far better than listening to “Boomer Sooner”, an oldie-but-awful that you won’t be hearing in the playoffs this year.

Besides USC, the school with some of the best music is Cal. Their main theme song, Lights Out March is melodious, and so is "Sons of California." But even though I like the song, I never want to hear the Cal band play Happy Days in Dixie because they only play it after they win.

The University of Texas has a good theme song, The Eyes of Texas, which may soon be "cancelled" for being "racist." I also like Varsity, Fight!, Santa Clara's theme song. Too bad that school dropped football.

My favorite football fight song, though is Tiger Roar! from my alma mater Occidental College. Sadly, they dropped football a few years ago.
