A woman has claimed she was charged double for "eating too much" at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Blogger Poppy Jones, who lives in the United Kingdom, told the story in a TikTok video on Tuesday, quickly racking up 76,000 views. She responded to another TikToker's prompt asking for the "wildest way you have ever been fat shamed."
"I once went to an all-you-can-eat buffet," Jones said. "And when the bill came, I noticed they charged me twice. I questioned it and said why—and they said I ate too much."
She added in the comments section that she was at the buffet with a former partner, but the staff singled her out for the double charge. She argued with them and walked out paying only the flat rate, she said.
Jones giggled through the clip, but told viewers in a comment that she has fought for her mental health through a "body positive movement/empowerment journey."
"Luckily for me, I am able to laugh these comments off but I realize others can't and it makes me sad," she said.

I had a large (300 lb.) friend in Madison WI who liked to eat at the Mongolian II all you can eat buffet restaurant. I went there with him once and was greeted warmly by restaurant staff who held the door for me. My friend was 10 paces behind and as he approached the door, no greetings, they let the door slam in his face. You could see on their faces - there goes this evening’s profits!
She ought to sue them for not putting wheels and a pull rope on the buffet table while she’s at it.
It’s all because the quivering globe of cellulite trundling toward you may not be a sufficient amount of warning.
I once went to an all-you-can-eat buffet and the told me you go home now no more food.
And she wonders why the charged her.
One look and even with my limited psychological training I can identify her as a head case.
I agree, or they should just sell plated meals, like other outlets. Surely they make enough headway on people who eat small meals to cover a few who eat a whole lot.
Restaurants operate on dime-thin margins. People who abuse the buffet are creating loss.
It’s all about the ‘journey’...idiots.
She looks to be about 20 stone...that is about 360lbs......or 168 kilos..

Fat people do not realize how revolting they are to most people.
They live in a world of delusion where they believe themselves just like everyone else...only with a few extra pounds.
The bitter cold truth is they are mentally ill.
The death of shame. People used to act reasonable in public and if they had an once of respect would not act in a gluttonous (shameful) manner. Now people take pride in their shame and expect people to champion their very shameful behavior. They announce it to the world via social media.
On top of that, what quality of food can be found in these type of places. The question I have, what is it with old people and these buffet style places. My parents love them (mostly my mom and my dad refuses to cook). The cooks are hygiene challenged the the 200 people that touch the same utensils after their hygiene challenged selves. Reuse of old food, food sitting out all day, ….
I just boycott them 15+ years ago. People not washing hands leaving the bathroom, licking their fingers between each trough, piles of garbage food, customers on average 60+ pounds beyond obese, kids using their hands to get food ….
Yeah it’s a issue for me.
That IS all you can eat for $14.95!
You scare my wife.
