What Does FTX's Downfall Have to Do with Tom Brady and Gisele's Divorce?

A TikToker's theory about the couple's recent split has a lot of, shall we say, overlap with the crypto exchange crash.

I’m not sure if the Pulitzer deadlines have passed, but I have a strong contender for the top investigative journalism honor: A TikTok user by the name Culturework has presented a very compelling theory connecting Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s divorce with the fall of FTX. While I obviously cannot confirm the allegations made in the TikTok series, I am at the very least intrigued.

Crucial to this story is the fact that Brady and Bündchen went hard in the paint backing the cryptocurrency exchange now being referred to as a Ponzi scheme, and even starred in a commercial for it. Is it a coincidence that this high-profile couple with many millions between them split up right before an FTX investor sued both of them? Maybe! But when that much money is involved, things are rarely left to chance. Before diving into the theory, let’s briefly recap the public dissolution of Football’s First Couple.

Both parties’ PR teams worked closely with the tabloids to paint the picture of a marriage pushed to the brink by Brady’s football career, from the New York Post’s September exclusive on the couple’s fights to TMZ’s October announcement of their divorce. As someone following along with middling interest, I bought it all: I, too, would be pissed if my 45-year-old husband was secretly whispering “I just can’t quit you” to a football behind my back.

More importantly, what does FTX have to do with Brady going back to play football

I didn’t back any crypto. In fact I posted pictures of tulips on crypto threads.

Therefore, Gizelle should take up with me.

There is no indication that Brady or Gisele invested their own money in FTX.

We do know they received equity shares in FTX for their public endorsement.

Are they liable? Probably not, but they will have to spend millions of their own money to drive away the victim lawyers.

My guess would be that Gisele is the most Conservative investor.

She is probably enraged that Tom talked her into this fiasco because of the damage it will do to her personal reputation.

Just because two or more things happen at the same time doesn’t mean they are correlated but when money, and this much, is involved one has to wonder how this is going to turn out. And 48 MILLION dollars going into democrat coffers makes this something that needs some “splaining”. Not that the MSM is going there but someone should.

Gisele was a little more involved than just being an endorser of FTX. She was also FTX's "environmental adviser" or some such nonsense.

When all is said and done, they’ll both still be obscenely rich.

Some watching Culturework’s videos might just come to the conclusion that this divorce is a way for the impending financial disaster to fall on Brady and keep Bündchen and their children clean

This seems to be her thesis, but she doesn't give us much to support it. We don't know exactly their involvement in FTX (were they investors? merely paid for commercials?) and how would a divorce protect assets for Giselle?

If Tom Brady actually met and talked to Sam Bankman-Fried for more than 10 seconds and then invested money in FTX I have to believe Tom Brady isn't to bright.

Every post Bernie Madoff dimwit who got scammed by Sammie boy has no one to blame but him or herself. Sam Bankman-Fried in every video I have seen him interacting with people comes across as a nervous, inarticulate, fat slob, young looking Sydney Greenstreet type grifter looking for a mark.

Why anyone couldn't or wouldn't just turn around and walk away or initiate reasonable due diligence before investing in FTX is inexplicable.

Note to self -

Never, and I mean NEVER, invest in any company that has an “environmental advisor”.

It's an interesting legal question whether an advertiser/promoter can be held personally liable in a situation like this. The argument would be that they knew or should have known it was a scam.

A divorce won't protect any of their assets from the claims of creditors. The mistake they made is having her in the ad as well. Since they were both in the ad, all of the assets held by her in her name, him in his name and jointly by the two of them will be subject to claims. Again, a divorce will not help in that regard.

Now THAT sounds logical of any wife.
How angry is ‘enraged”? Iron skillet anger?
Rolling pin anger? Bring it on Tom.
He would be opting to play once again just to
cover the fact his wife found enough anger in herself
to really do a good job at showing it.

I think you've got that backwards...Bundchen was much more involved than Brady.

I had no idea Gisele cut ads while chatting up Bankman-Fried.

Sounds more like extreme miscommunication
