WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - A Florida woman was arrested after police said she pulled out a gun and threatened to kill another woman with a child in the car because she cut her off in traffic.
Bonita Adams, 25, is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and exhibiting a weapon within 1,000 feet of a school.
Winter Haven police said this apparent case of road rage happened on Wednesday morning along 6th St. SE near Winter Haven High School. According to officers, Adams was driving down the road when she believed the other driver cut her off. When both vehicles stopped for a traffic light, police said Adams got out of her car with a gun, walked to the victim's car, pointed the gun at her face and told the victim if she ever cut her off again, she would find her and kill her.
The victim's 12-year-old child was also in the vehicle and witnessed the incident, police said. Adams then allegedly walked back to her vehicle and when the light changed, the victim continued along 6th St. and called police as Adams continued driving behind her.
Officers located the vehicles and spoke with Adams, who they said continued to state that the victim cut her off. Officers said that Adams admitted to walking up to the victim and pointing her handgun at the victim's face.

The perp should be thankful the vic wasn’t packing.
What a stupid person. Really.
Unless one is wearing a badge prominently displayed, walking back to a car under these circumstances is an invitation to be shot dead.
I would consider such behavior as an immediate threat to life.
Maybe it’s just my imagination, but Florida women seem to be growing as notorious as Florida men!
My assumption being that the victim did not have a crear route to drive away.

These are all two-lane local roads, one would have to drive about a mile south of the high school to get to the six-lane main drag, SR 540 which takes one to Legoland.
Full disclosure: daughter, who is muy bonita but not named Bonita, works near the corner of 6th St. and 540; my home is about three miles away. Lots of CCW people; Grady Judd country.

Where are people’s manners nowadays?
Actually I feel sorry for the 12 year old girl, helpless as she watched the woman menace her and her mother. Children haven’t developed the tough attitude we have about worthless criminals out of jail.
My grandson attends that HS.
Three of my siblings attended there a bazillion years ago, with two of them graduating. They were the Blue Devils, right? I was a little kid.
Missing from the Fox35 account is any mention of the arrest of Bonita.
Was she arrested?
