As the “cultivated chicken” products head closer to entering the market, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and
Inspection Service will oversee the processing and labeling. A recent article quoted one of the labs that produce this mush as verifying that their chicken "meat" would sell at $9,000 per pound.
