The truly tragic thing is that even when they do manage to shoot down a drone or missile it just means the civilians pay the price. Horrific pictures of an inferno in a 5 story residential apartment building caused by the “successful” shooting down of one of the missiles or drones according to the Ukrainians themselves.
being able to lob missiles and have some of them hit is not the same as “owning the air space”
Owning the air space means that your aircraft would have no danger of attacks by either Ukrainian aircraft nor anti-aircraft batteries.
That is not the case.
Russia most definitely does not OWN the Ukrainian airspace, far less have any airspace superiority.
