Then that is who is beating the hell out of Russia.

Russia has been pulling back for the winter. They are destroying infrastructure as they withdraw, ensuring that the public in Ukraine will lose their resolve to continue supporting the corrupt Neo-Nazi regime. Variations of this strategy have been used effectively by the Russians for hundreds of years. If you believe what is currently taking place indicates that the Ukrainians are now “winning”... you are very foolish. The Russians have a pattern of prevailing by outlasting their opposition.

The only exception that I am aware of is when the Russians gave up on their puppet regime in Afghanistan. Despite the troop withdrawal, the Taliban was not able to take over until the Russians withdrew their financial and military support. At that time the entire Soviet system was crumbling from within and supporting their regime became more costly than it was worth. Nine years after our allies the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the United States invaded Afghanistan and we installed our own puppet regime, and the Taliban became our enemy.

Our foreign policy in this entire region has been bizarre, culminating in our absolutely disastrous and incoherent withdrawal. There is no doubt that this show of incompetence and weakness obviously helped to encourage the Russians to move forward with their “invasion” of Ukraine. Ironically the Russians are now recruiting US trained soldiers from Afghanistan to fight in Ukraine.

But no MeganC, unfortunately the Russians are not losing in Ukraine. The “sanctions” are helping them, their income from exports is up over 50% compared to last year. Putin has been gaining popularity not losing it, not just in Russia but in many other parts of the world. Thumbing your nose at the US while an imbecile is President increases Putin's street cred in many places.

Meanwhile Europe and the United States are suffering and losing interest in the conflict while their economies fall apart, and energy supplies run short. This has been a failed initiative to realign Ukraine with the West, something that Russia said repeatedly they would never accept. We are paying the price for failed foreign policy.

But you have no real interest or understanding in the history that led up to this mess, do you? You are content to believe whatever you are told and go along with whatever stupidity Biden and company foist on us.

“Variations of this strategy have been used effectively by the Russians for hundreds of years.”
Any examples of these 100s of years?
