A good and decent man. Great supporter of veteran causes. His work was commentary on the American human condition with an emphasis on decency. Definitely not a conservative firebrand, but a comforting voice of reason.
Prayers.

RIP.
Never heard him on-air, but was familiar with the name.

Bohannon certainly had a good voice for radio. Never listened to his show but heard plenty of promos on Rush’s local affiliate. RIP, Mr. Bohannon.

I’ll thank him for his service. He had a distinctive radio voice. When I was in San Diego I would catch some of his show predawn before local radio kicked off their day at five am. Funny that I recall I wasn’t a fan of America in the Morning but I don’t recall any specific reason why. RIP.

If you were driving cross country late at night and into the early hours of the morning, the voice of Jim Bohannon was about the only thing to keep you company on those long stretches of interstate. Very few stations had the power to broadcast over some of the remote areas and those that did, had Jim Bohannon.

He talked with everybody, about anything. His calm demeanor and his ability to engage your mind while cruising along the nations highways, was invigorating and stimulating. It kept me awake when nothing else would help.

We lost another giant in broadcasting.
