Yawn.
A good and decent man. Great supporter of veteran causes. His work was commentary on the American human condition with an emphasis on decency. Definitely not a conservative firebrand, but a comforting voice of reason.
Prayers.
RIP, I listened just enough to not listen.
RIP.
Never heard him on-air, but was familiar with the name.
Used to listen to him. His was a early evening/late night talk show...................
Bohannon certainly had a good voice for radio. Never listened to his show but heard plenty of promos on Rush’s local affiliate. RIP, Mr. Bohannon.
I’ll look-up some of his podcasts, and have a listen.
I’ll thank him for his service. He had a distinctive radio voice. When I was in San Diego I would catch some of his show predawn before local radio kicked off their day at five am. Funny that I recall I wasn’t a fan of America in the Morning but I don’t recall any specific reason why. RIP.
He talked with everybody, about anything. His calm demeanor and his ability to engage your mind while cruising along the nations highways, was invigorating and stimulating. It kept me awake when nothing else would help.
We lost another giant in broadcasting.
Listened to him in the early a.m. many times. RIP.
A radio hall of famer. Always a good listen. May he RIP.
I am familiar with the name, but can’t say when I heard him. Maybe when he was in Chicago, but probably on some late night somewhere.
AMEN!.................
Whatever happened to Ken Hamblin, the Black Avenger?
Retired, I believe..................
I seem to remember he suddenly ‘retired’ and many thought or it was rumored that he had been threatened because of his views, so he decided to call it quits instead of putting up with the danger.....................
Ken suddenly up and quit, in 2003.

I remember listening to him one night, saying he had eaten his last steak. He didn’t think it was ethical.

Fine tribute to a fine man. I've listened to him for years, very often when he did the morning show, and quite often right up to this past year when I get the frequent can't-sleeps. He sounded good when he signed off to spend his time dealing with his personal situation, and I hoped it would be for a long, long time.
I'm stunned to hear he is gone.
He will be missed.
