Agreed. The B-17 appeared to be holding a course through a leisurely when the SuperCobra came seemingly came out of nowhere.

I saw that video many times and it appeared to me that the Cobra didn’t see the B-17 at all the way he approached with his wings blocking his vision of the Bomber, my 2 cents.
I wonder if there was any radio traffic between aircraft at the just show prior to the crash.
It’s very surrealistic.
