Isaiah 53
Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Surely he took up our pain 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him

he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?

9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,

The use of “He,” “Him,” and “His” can be easily pushed aside or just overlooked altogether, because, as I posted upthread:
KJV Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
DRB Gen 3:15 I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall cursh (sic) thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
But let’s go back to the original of this verse and see how it was faithfully preserved in Hebrew by the Jews to read.

It seems to me that playing around with God’s word like that would not be hard to call wrong.
But, hey, that’s just me.
“Hath God really said ...”
“Yeah, but so what? We don’t like His way nor His word, and this whole Mary bit is not going to work the way He’s got it!”
God’s word says “He” and “His.” It’s been changed by the DRB to read “she” and “her” in their translation.
My thinking is that if they can get a person to fall for this early on, say, Genesis Chapter 3, the rest is going to come pretty easy because they’re looking for a “her” and not a “him” to come along in future.
I actually feel sorry for the innocent ones who come along and really don’t know any better.
