-Vladimir Putin has been offered surrender terms by Ukraine and allies, a prominent Russian academic said
-Plan would see Russia give up all territory in Ukraine except Crimea, which would become demilitarised zone
-In return, Putin and cronies would avoid war crimes prosecution and remain in power, Valery Solovey claimed
-Details emerged as Russian troops fled Kherson, with Ukraine liberating the city after eight-month occupation
-Putin's forces fled east across the Dnipro River, with Ukrainians painting a picture of a chaotic retreat, that saw Russian troops ditching their uniforms or drowning while trying to escape
Vladimir Putin has been offered surrender terms by the West, a respected Russian policy expert revealed today, as Moscow's troops were forced to withdraw from the city of Kherson in yet another humiliating defeat.
Professor Valery Solovey, formerly at Moscow's prestigious Institute of International Relations and who claims to have connections in the Kremlin, said the surrender would see Russia give up all territory in Ukraine with the exception of Crimea, which would become a demilitarised zone and its status would not be discussed again until 2029.
In return, Putin and his cronies would avoid criminal charges over the war and be allowed to remain in power, Professor Solovey claimed.
He said the proposal had been discussed between Kyiv and its Western allies before being presented to Putin's inner circle - who had reacted positively to the idea.
Russia has been calling for a return to the negotiating table in recent days while there have been suggestions that Washington is quietly leaning on Kyiv to do the same.

The terms would benefit the cronies, but I don’t see how it would benefit Putin.
LOL We don’t get to determine who stays in power there. There are war crime accusatons from both sides.
Who was the last Russian leader who surrendered and stayed in power? Nicolas II in the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905 didn’t remain all that long.
Umm no.
I go to 16 Russian social media sites and not a one of them has even remotely indicated or mentioned anything about “surrender terms” let alone any type alleged “peace agreement.”
Even The Duran has not mentioned it, Alexander Mercouris, Alex Christoforou, The New Atlas, iEarlGrey who lives in Russia, Douglas MacGregor, Andrei Martyanov, no mention on RT, no mention on TASS, etc., etc., etc.
Until such is confirmed, it’s a typical UK and DailyMail propaganda being peddled by a propagandist who is so weak and unobjective, they themselves won’t take the time to verify or corroborate such with Russian news outlets, etc.
P R O P A G A N D A ! !

I personally believe that Putin is a war criminal. But this whole article is silly. It would be one thing if Putin were under arrest, and was being held in some EU jail.
But he’s not in some EU jail. He’s in far-away Moscow, or perhaps even further east. So us saying we’ll let Putin remain in power would be like Putin saying he’ll let Charles III remain as king. It’s just silly. Or to be more specific, a silly bluff.
They can stay in power but they have to destroy all strategic weapon systems and cooperate with the UN in dismantling their nuclear weapon stockpiles. In exchange Russia, the US and China will sign a treaty accepting and guaranteeing to respect the territorial borders of Russia.

You are the new poster child for ‘Don’t Do Drugs’ too.......
😂🤣😂🤣
To the rest of the world, it will look like Ukraine successfully repulsed a Russian invasion, and the Russian leadership certainly will know that. The Ukrainians certainly can celebrate it as a victory. But the killing would stop, and the Ukrainians could begin rebuilding their country.
I don't think Putin will accept it, but that all depends on the internal Russian power dynamics. Certainly, there are some in the Russian leadership who recognize this war was a huge mistake and want it to be over.
Should Putin feel the same way you do, he will, of course, be at liberty to reject this equitable / more-than-generous peace proposal and continue to get his *ss kicked on the battlefield (as well as risking an internal coup).

Russia would never go for that. Russians are suspicious by nature, and they have a long memory. So they most assuredly remember the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact of 1939. Nazi Germany promised to leave the Soviet Union alone. And we all know how that turned out.
Never going to happen in a million years. There is absolutely zero chance of anyone outside of Russia removing Putin by force absent an invasion of Russia and the capture of Moscow, which is not going to happen because nobody supports even attempting it.
What happens in Russia internally after this war is up to the Russians alone. That's not a moral argument, just the only realistic result. So we have to forget all that war crimes crap except to the extent there are trials where the parties aren't present, and we can make it so the guilty parties cannot travel to other nations for fear of imprisonment.
The idea that some coalition is going to invade Russia and physically grab war criminals is ridiculous. Never, ever going to happen.
Watch:
Putin will be dead soon: one way or another. Especially, if he doesn’t five up his moose blood juice.
