The former president, who is largely being blamed for costing Republicans big in the midterms, again referred to DeSantis as “Ron DeSanctimonious.” He also accused media outlets owned by the Murdoch family of colluding against him.

There’s only one reason the Red wave didn’t happen, and it’s not the GOP candidates. The Democrats have mastered mail-in voting and ballot harvesting. Until that’s fixed, the GOP will win major elections in several states.

Interesting that you use the term “lockdowns” in your post — as does the article you linked there. But the White House announcement clearly refers to “guidelines” — not lockdowns.

Those of us who were on top of this in 2020 knew what this was all about. The Trump officials involved in the COVID response knew damn well that the U.S. government has no legal authority to impose widespread lockdowns. At best, the President of the United States can lock down military bases and close national parks and Federal buildings. That’s it.

The difference is that you are gullible enough to believe in the archetypical duplicitous lawyer politician, whereas some of us believe in a businessman who has "been there and done that" across numerous conference room tables all his life and done great things, course language and all.   Then when he had every right to rest in retirement, instead transfers that knowledge, expertise, and drive to the White House, for no pay, and does great things for our nation, course language and all.

Your attempt to belittle that by calling our belief in him a cult as cynical and shallow shame.   I call it faith in the right man, in the right place, at the right time.

This quote from a Teddy Roosevelt speech long ago says it better:

Trump’s business background has helped him tremendously...
except when it comes to picking the right team.
It could be a matter of their isn’t enough good people to choose from? And/or enough good guys willing to work in a insane environment?
Otherwise,it seems like he should pick people who..like him..have a background in business..or any profession that has tangible evidence the person knows what they are doing.

In other words ..doers..and people who have actually accomplished something.

But then it goes back to ..if there were such a person(s) ..are the willing to quit their lives to work in the evil government..where crazy leftists forget your house or worse your family.
Use to be ..or at least it seemed like..you could appeal to people’s love of country.

Can Trump fing two dozen such people..do the exist anymore?
