Those of us who were on top of this in 2020 knew what this was all about. The Trump officials involved in the COVID response knew damn well that the U.S. government has no legal authority to impose widespread lockdowns. At best, the President of the United States can lock down military bases and close national parks and Federal buildings. That’s it.

Then when he had every right to rest in retirement, instead transfers that knowledge, expertise, and drive to the White House, for no pay, and does great things for our nation, course language and all.
