History has shown that when a charismatic Republican leader who gains tremendous success (not political success, actual success to things people care about) through applying conservative principles the GOP Will turn on him. Reagan, Gingrich, Trump. All tossed under a bus at earliest opportunity.
Until Trump is set aside they will cozy up to DeSantis and plant stories about how he should be the standard bearer and try to sow discord between him and Trump. Once they feel they've slain their dragon they'll turn on DeSantis the moment he even hints of something bigger than running Florida. Watch it.

This guy is impressive, speaks well, has accomplishments to run on, has a positive vision for the future, and is a winner. At this point, I’m for DeSantis 2024.
