Interesting. The Frankfurt School members in the US appeared to be clinically depressed individuals. They would ware heavy wool suits and overcoats in southern California in the middle of the summer. They were constantly visibly unhappy men who intensely disliked the country that offered them refuge and endlessly complained how that the US was not Germany. Many German refugees in California behaved in the opposite. Walter Klempener (whose son is remembered as Col Klink of Hogan’s Heroes fame) the symphony conductor made it very clear he had absolutely no interest in returning to Germany, a country that wanted to kill him, from spring like California where he made far more money directing motion picture symphonies or scoring film music than he could imagine directing an orchestra in Europe.
They were marxists who wished for Germany to be a socialist paradise. They got the Nazi’s instead so some of them came here and continued beating the drum.
I almost weep at what teachers’ union indoctrination of our youth has done.
In the 1750’s Charles De Montesquieu wrote that the first purpose of education in a republic is to imbue love of country. So true then as it is now.
The left has perfected the art of taking over institutions and using them for their agenda.
It is very effective and their reach is now almost absolute within our nation given the corruption of corporate America who are now “political” when in the past it was all about business. They don’t just indoctrinate their minions.... they launch them throughout society into every corner to proselytize.
This has been accelerated by the woke majors and degrees from institutions of higher learning. These degrees now now make up the highest percentage of hires within corporate HQ throughout America.
This is why the CEO of Coca-Cola wakes up to a company tweet that pisses off half their customer base and this story happens over and over and over. The CEO’s are afraid of the woke know-nothings they have hired in their HR departments.

Bad move. Griner was probably being uncooperative and entitled so they took further action.
Apparently, Griner was provided a Russian lawyer for advise/representation.
After this, Griner admitted guilt and apologized for the infraction and attitude. At that point Griner was scheduled to serve less than six months in jail (not prison), pay a fine and be deported from Russia.
THEN the US State Department and Biden got involved and shot their big mouths off, and insisted on Mainstream Media Front Page Diplomacy, rather than the standard private conversations between diplomats.
So Griner, and Griner's supporters, can thank Biden and State for eight years hard labor, and no swaps.
Had they not started out with that crap, Griner would be in America now, working to rehabilitate the Bad Attitude.
