If DeSantis runs, what will the Primary look like?
Both men are MAGA, eliminating policy differences. The primary will be personal meaning finances, character and donors etc. Trump plays to win, by any means necessary.
No one benefits from this especially MAGA. Yet many want DeSantis to run even though it will destroy the party as we know it today.
The bigger picture, we have 2 fighters, why pit them against each other? Both can save America albeit doing different jobs (short term).
Trump has flaws, DeSantis has flaws….like any characteristic, there are situations where that ‘flaw’ is detrimental and other times when it is helpful. Trump’s ego forced NATO to pay up, governments to respect us, North Korea to heel and media to expose itself. Yes, it irritates soccer moms.
Main point: Do you really want a primary between the two fighters?
Personally, I’d rather focus on ‘22

DeSantis should be the 2024 nominee for President and Trump should support him.
Moot. Desantis came out and put this to bed a few days ago. Stating he will not run in if President Trump runs. President Trump is expected to announce his run on the 15th.
Trump would be the equivalent of an incumbent. No former President has ever come close to drawing the kinds of crowds Trump is still drawing.
Not a good thing to discuss tonight.
Why talk about 2024 tonight?

Trump has failed in several ways, but if he is running, DeSantis will simply run in 2028 with Lake as VP.
Ron will be 50 years old when he takes his oath of office in Jan. of 2029.

Trump has one more shot and this is it. DeSantis has lots of time, but if he chooses to run against Trump in 2024 it’ll be just like Liddlr Marco and Lyon Ted.

Trump is MAGA. Desanctimonius is working with Paul Ryan to try and end MAGA. His money will definitely come from the old guard and that’s who he’ll owe.

This is not the time for this discussion. For the moment, DeSantis is already said that he won’t run if Trump is. I’m happy to let that sit for the moment and let’s see what Trump is going to do. I will be happy to support either, but do not want to be forced to pick between the two.

I agree…..but FR does not as there have been several posts/articles concerning Trump vs DeSantis per day, every day. 4 articles were posted today including 5 minutes ago. Maybe you can post your disdain there as well.
My view, it’s a moot point until DeSantis announces his intentions yet the drama on FR continues. My intent was to bring an end to the drama..

I thought DeSantis said he wasn’t running.
Why don’t we wait until we know who is actually running rather than tearing them apart.
