"Repubs crushing Dems in very early going in Democratic Clark County, where all the votes are."
8:12 am is very early going.
Clark county is Vegas.
I’ve noticed that Republicans mostly get up and vote really early. - Which gives the Dems ALL DAY to manufacture JUST the votes they need.
We really all ought to wait until 6pm and flood them as late as possible. Let them spend all day being cocky, thinking that they’ve got it made…
I read that Ralston predicts the rats hold the senate seat in Nevada. He is normally spot on. Has he changed his tune in 48 hours?
“But we haven’t counted the absentee ballots yet, and those usually break Democrat. Once we have today’s totals in, then we’ll know how many absentee ballots to count...”
Aren’t they supposed to wait until the polls close before they start releasing the results?
Maybe the Democrats don’t get up until noon?
It is like Vegas casinos reprogramming their slots to make the corporate owners profit goals for the day/week/month...
Personally I was disappointed listening to Laxalt on the radio yesterday. He keep referring to the polls and sounded over confident. He’s run a number of times but just lacks pizazz IMO.
I believe this is just based on registration, not actual voting totals.
True that but the better idea is to have the conservative areas withhold their tallies until all the communist areas have turned in their count.
Then make up the difference and add for the win.
As noted on Twitter, very early in the day out there, very few votes cast so far today.
However, there have been reports that mail-in voting was light in Clark Co. and NV overall, so if Repubs show up for in-person voting in large numbers, NV may go Red.
Maybe so - see:
It's a bit more than 48 hours, but Ralston was apparently pretty concerned and Trende called it out as an exception to his "ignore early voting data" thesis.
I have a question about that. The only way we would know who is turning out is from exit polling, asking people coming out who they voted for.
In the general election you don’t vote for one party or the other, you can split your votes if you want.
So how do we know if Republicans or Democrats are showing up?
He split Lombardo and laxalt which makes zero sense because he just goes by partisan ballots returned, and I think laxalt was polling ahead of Lombardo. He basically said he’s wild guessing it. Seems like he was just trying to split the baby with his followers.
The culinary union is out doing a massive GOTV effort. The key is going to be getting the vote out in the larger rural counties, but there’s a reasonable chance that Sisolak and Masto get handed their walking papers.
Jon Ralston just come out yesterday and say the Democrats were going to win in nevada?
