Cat Stevens hasn’t been Cat Stevens for a long time and has since supported terrorists and the fatwa against Salman Rushdie.

There isn’t any artist that i despise more deeply than cat stevens. When i hear one of his tunes come to the radio i change the station quicker than a mongoose dodging a rattlesnake.

I saw an interesting analysis of Wakeman’s piano work on that song just the other day. What he does is pretty sophisticated.

As a boy I wondered why anyone would name their cat Frankenstein.

The Beatles had the same problem with some of their Chuck Berry covers.

I know, right? Mick went to London School of Economics. When the Stones first started out and were doing college tours in the mid-60s, Mick was wearing a corduroy sports coat, khakis, a chambray shirt, a knitted necktie and Hush Puppies shoes. I saw them at UPenn in 1966.

I fully enjoyed Cat Stevens during that part of his career.

And also his music at that time was used as a background for one of the most cringy boomer movies ever made, "Harold and Maude".

I don’t recall the background music at all, but Harold & Maude was a very good film! The movie was as odd as it was endearing.
Ruth Gordon played the same type of spry, bold and tangy sort of Lady as she did in Rosemary’s Baby.

Will admit, Ruth Gordon, was very good in "Rosemary's Baby", especially with the line to Mia Farrow, "Dear I"ve got to get to finish my Christmas shopping". A lot of irony there.

But "Harold and Maude", yuk, ewwww.
