GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three adults were arrested at a Guilford County high school after police say they arrived at the school's campus to help assist their relatives in beating up a group of students. The Greensboro Police Department said Laquita Sims, 31, Tracy Sims, 49, and Demorshea Sims, 21, came onto the campus of Grimsley High School with two female students at around 12:30 p.m. to encourage and instigate a fight.
The three women "encouraged" the fighting, according to a news release from the police sent to WXII. Laquita Sims was arrested for assaulting a teacher who tried to break up the girls' fight.
The three were charged with conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, two counts of simple assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, trespassing, inciting a riot and assault on a school official. All were given a $100,000 bond.
The students involved will be disciplined, the district says.
