Former Fox News anchor-turned-CNBC host, Shepard Smith, is out effective immediately at the network.
CNBC confirmed Friday that the "last newscast was Wednesday, November 2," in an update to Thursday's initial announcement.
The network first reported Thursday that Smith would leave CNBC later in the month of November. However, it then quietly updated the announcement, contradicting its initial report and burying the news of the final broadcast.

We thank Shep and the entire ‘News with Shepard Smith’ team for their incredible work and dedication over the past two years," a spokesperson for CNBC said.
It's unclear what led to the abrupt change. Smith has not made any statements on his departure.
According to CNBC President KC Sullivan, “We need to further invest in business news content that provides our audiences actionable understanding of the complex developments in global markets and the implications on institutions, investors and individuals."
Smith worked at Fox News from 1996-2019 before starting his program at CNBC in 2020.

Sucks to be Shep.
Maybe he can hook up with Olberman’s YouTube.
If only Joy Reid and Chris Hayes would drop an F bomb or use a racial slur on live TV.
Cross being crossed-out is a start.
What did he do? Must be pretty bad to get tossed out like that.
He should play the “Gay Card”, claiming discrimination and homophobia caused his “unlawful dismissal”....ROFL
Well that didn’t work out.
Hah, he stinks so bad they can’t wait to send him to the curb.
Well, Shep. Back to pole dancing.
Gee...that’s a real shame. [/s]
Hissy fit?
“Hook, line, and sphincter”
I think i could sit at a keyboard for a full month and not come up with something so simple, yet perfect.
CNBC is sinking.
Well, Shemp is always getting his bum rushed, if you know what I mean...
In other words: "we fired Smith so we could bring you the news."
Bye Shemp.
Shep a business news anchor? Seriously? I see the problem right there.
