Interesting. I like that they are burning spent grain and that is somehow “sustainable”.

Fun Svalbard Facts…
Since the USA is a signatory of the International Svalbard Treaty….
“All citizens and all companies of every nation under the treaty are allowed to become residents and to have access to Svalbard including the right to fish, hunt or undertake any kind of maritime, industrial, mining or trade activity. The residents of Svalbard must follow Norwegian law, though Norwegian authority cannot discriminate against or favor any residents of any given nationality.”
You have to be able to handle extreme cold, polar bears, etc…. But you have a right to move there and establish a business.
I really don’t like beer. But I did like Norway a lot when I traveled around the country for a wonderful week. Went as far north as Trondheim. It was winter and the sky was dull green. I wonder if that helps the beer.
And with polar bears lurking around every corner (to this day, there are more polar bears than people living in the region), the rule was also a safety measure
I was told there would be no more polar bears after like 2000? Maybe 2012? Why are there more polar bears than people if that’s true?
Ice Cold Beer.
