(11:52 video) The youtuber know as "Essential Craftsman" was chronically exhausted and taking several naps per day. He also snored. Then he was diagnosed as having both central apnea and obstructive apnea, causing him to wake up 32 times per hour. He had very little REM sleep and experienced night terrors (waking in a panic). He spent years and $ thousands on treatment, including CPAP and BiPAP. He finally found success with a DIY treatment using sports tape (kinesiology tape) to tape his mouth shut at night. He cut small slits in the tape to allow a small amount of air exchange by mouth, but generally forcing him to breath through his nose. He used an apple watch to monitor heart rate, oxygen saturation and sleep stages. He now uses only the tape and does not use the CPAP/BiPAP. He reports great success.
Buy a better pillow. I use a thin pillow that is about 2.75” high, called a Slim Sleeper memory foam pillow that I bought a couple of back in 2017. I like it as it is softer then the latex version for me. Any thicker pillow is uncomfortable for me. Just add a pillow protector and a pillow case and you will sleep well.

I just order one of these. It should be interesting to see what goes on when I am sleeping. I usually drop off right away but wake up several times at night to visit the bathroom. I know I should not drink anything for many hours prior but I snack after dinner. I figure if I stop the snacking I should get better rest.

I also found that a fan blowing air in my face while I sleep helps for a better night’s sleep. Not strong, just an airflow.
China makes an elastic mask that pulls your chin up and holds jaws shut that slips over your head. Helps re-train memory to sleep with mouth closed.
