When I gave up smoking, I lived in a house on an acre surrounded by woods. Every time I wanted a cigarette, I went outside so I wouldn’t scare the pets and shouted every filthy swearword I knew. It worked.

The trick is to slip a big word in there.

Calling somebody a “F’ing idiot” doesn’t have a lot of impact these days.

But if you call them a “F’ing pusillanimous idiot” it makes them think a little bit and makes them more wary of responding.
