"At my invitation, Blake Masters and I had an unscripted, open, and recorded discussion and exchange of ideas on a variety of issues -- we discussed the economy, taxation, foreign policy, existential threats, education, the Federal Reserve, energy policy, guns, immigration, abortion, the drug war, separation of church and state, same-sex marriage, and euthanasia," Victor released in a statement Tuesday, "I found Blake to be generally supportive of the Live and Let Live Global Peace Movement. Likewise, we found ourselves in general agreement about how to improve America and advance the cause of freedom and peace. After that discussion, I believe it is in the best interests of freedom and peace to withdraw my candidacy and enthusiastically support Blake Masters for United States Senate. I intend to assist in any way reasonably possible to election Blake."
The race between Masters and Democratic incumbent Mark Kelly remains a dead heat with exactly one week to go until Election Day.
What about the thousands of votes he already got?
That’s why we should have election day, not election month.
I assume you're referring to early voting. What makes you believe he got "thousands" of votes at this point?
Unfortunately, as of yesterday, over 875,000 early ballots have been returned.
Yeah, early voting and vote by mail are good ideas . . .

"to election Blake" Are all libertarians stoned?
“I assume you’re referring to early voting. What makes you believe he got “thousands” of votes at this point?”
Do a rough estimate based the number of ballots returned already (~800k), and the percentage of votes a libertarian gets in AZ (~1.5%), and you’d get around 12,000 votes.
Libertarians only exist to gift elections to democrats. The lib got 51,465 votes in 2020 AZ presidential election. Trump lost by 10,457.

how many of the “early votes” won’t get counted until wednesday morning after the polls close tuesday?
The original press release was correct. It’s the crappy journalists and complete lack of editing that account for this error.
As with most races, the Marc Victor running as a Libertarian has seen his polling shrink as it gets closer to election day, but this is still good news. Masters is basically a libertarian himself, so it’s reasonable that most voters who would have pulled the lever for Victor will probably go with Masters.
Even if Victor would have received 2-3% of the vote, and even if only half of those switch, that could easily provide the margin of victory (heh) to Masters in a tight race.
That said, polling shows Kelly and Masters in a dead heat, which, if history holds, means that Masters has anywhere from a 4-7% lead as of today. Add a point and a half from the Libertarian vote, and it should put Masters over the top.
Big question is attitudes among hard core Libertarian voters about VBM and early voting: Dems seem to love it, Rep voters don’t trust it. I would imagine that Libertarians are even less trusting of the state than Reps, so they should be over represented at the polls vs. early voting.
Wonder if any FReepers have any intel on Libertarian early voting attitudes?
Exactly right.
Most of the motivation for any candidate to run is ego. When it is obvious that you will get no more than 1.5% of the vote, you don't need to be in the mix to begin with. Fortunately the dims have the green party to contend with on their side to siphon off the extreme lefties..
The Green candidate got 57,000 votes when Sinema was elected. I would imagine the Libertarian will get at least 20,000.
“I would vote for a right leaning Libertarian (Ed Clark/Ron Paul/Tom Woods type) before Mitt Romney ANY day.”
Thanks Obama.
it wouldn’t have made a difference if President Trump had got those votes, the PTB in the AZ gope were determined to throw the state to plugs
I would have rather had Obama II followed by Trump than Romney followed by more swamp.
No way to know which way the Libertarian votes would have gone to, but we can say they are officially wasted votes . . .
If it is not close, you can’t cheat. It would not have been close without the libertarian.
