This seems to be a trend. On my last trip to Walmart I noticed half eaten open packages all over the store. Try before you don’t buy I guess.

I'm not sure if this is a thing in other parts of the country, but here, people think nothing of opening packages before paying for items. It wasn't that long ago that it would be assumed that you were trying to steal something if you were opening a package before paying for it. Guess that's just a quaint notion, now.
