My parents were early adopters of technology and so I was playing pong as soon as it came out for the home. I had played it earlier in our local bowling alley which had the only arcade pong version in our town. I remember EXACTLY where it was in the bowling alley.
Pong was video air hockey. I preferred air hockey.
I had Flight Sim and Train Sim, great games....I flew between the World Trade Center towers. Video games were fun...
What about the game Leisure Suit Larry?I think it was the first Adult game...
I want Metaverse pong.
We spent a fortune on D batteries back then.
I got hooked on Tempest.
Tempest was so cool back in the day. I remember a house down the street got Pong for the TV, probably Christmas ‘75. Dec. 26, every kid in the neighborhood was jammed into that living room, myself included.
Guess I’m slow. Just clicked Computers/Internet topic - interesting links to explore. Now I have to remember that.
"Yestercades" is an arcade that specializes in old 'antique'
video games. You pay by the hour to play them there -
I don't think that you can buy them. But if you have old
equipment - old arcade consoles specifically - they may
be interested in BUYING them from you.
They even repair / refurbish machines for their own use in the arcade(s).
Case in point is the Tempest machine that they have at the
Westfield (New Jersey) location (they have two locations
- the other is Somerville) was not working one time I
was there but subsequently was repaired & working.
So CALL first before you go if your heart is set on Tempest.
But they have a LOT of games. Even home equipment - like
an old Colecovision system.
Anyway - I just thought I'd give these guys a plug.
If you're in the neighborhood, ya know...

Pong on home TV was a GREAT game growing up I the 70’s!
The competition was wonderful.
Then came Breakout Then Gun fighter.
Some good times...
My husband and I were broke. We would come into town occasionally and shop at Zayres and they had pong. We loved it. Wish we had bought it.
