Idiots.

Before you “phase out” ANYTHING, you come up with a TRIED, WORKABLE alternative - FIRST.

This is BASIC common sense.

No world “leader” seems to have this anymore.

Part of the reason is to price the average person out of owning a car in the first place. That is probably the MAIN goal.

Time will tell on this 2035 deadline. California and a few other states are also using this 2035 benchmark to phase out the internal combustion engine.

No increase in base load generation, massive increase in electrical demand, and not enough time or people to addrress the generation/transmission/distribution issues.

No combustion engines by 2035? My Uncle Danko in Hungary is already onboard with the idea.

The left has it all figured out. You just install lots of electrical outlets to run things.

I think buggy-makers and horse breeders are going to have a bright future. The old-timey wagons used for hauling goods from community to community will probably need specially-bred hours bred for stamina. The buggy-whip makers should also prepare to gear up production.

The EU to phase out cars by 2035?

There may not be a EU by then?

“EU to phase out new combustion engine cars by 2035”

Talk is cheap. This will never happen. This is just another Greenie-hack talking point. To keep them re-elected and feeding at the trough.

The quantity of metal required to make just one generation of renewable tech units to replace fossil fuels, is much larger than first thought. Current mining production of these metals is not even close to meeting demand. Current reported mineral reserves are also not enough in size. Most concerning is copper as one of the flagged shortfalls. Exploration for more at required volumes will be difficult, with this seminar addressing these issues.

All this phase out of combustion autos is not going to turn out well. It might be a good idea to purchase several old cars of the same make and model. That way you will have spare parts. I think I will get some nice land yachts. Something with classic style, and says American power.

Let’s test this plan first.

RI is a small state. Ban IC engines in the entire state by 2025 and evaluate the results. This includes cars, trucks, farm equipment, construction equipment, mowers, busses, motorcycles, trains, … everything.

It is amazing how many people on this planet lack critical thinking skills.

Example: California governor says “buy electric cars.” Two days later, he says don’t plug em in because we ain’t got enough to power.

You can’t make this stuff up!

Huge mistake eliminating the internal combustion car, what are these European Vegetables thinking.

The Internal Combustion engine is the best engine ever invented and there have been many improvements made to the internal combustion engine.

So many inventions have been made to the Internal Combustion car that you can not mention it on this forum.

For example, tires is just one to mention and every year someone will come up with new tires developed.

Government sucks.

Remember when London banned autos? This resulted in London cabbies using old diesel engines increasing air pollution significantly.

So let’s see how this works out. Lots of expensive electric cars that drain the grid. Brilliant!
