Safety regulators said consumers should "immediately stop" using certain Pine-Sol cleaning products due to the possibility of them containing bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. They should take pictures of the UPC and date codes before disposing of them, the CPSC said.

The following products with date codes starting with "A4" and followed by a five-digit number below 22249 are affected by the recall:

- Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave and Lemon Fresh scents.

- CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners in Lavender Clean, Sparkling Wave, Lemon Fresh and Orange Energy scents.

- Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners.

Both Clorox and the CPSC noted that Original Pine-Sol (Pine Scent) has not been recalled.

The affected products came in 28, 48, 60, 100, 144 and 175 fluid ounce bottles, according to the CPSC.

Makes perfect sense in a society now unable to recognize absurdity, as we seek comfort in it and fear intelligence.

I sometimes use the original Pine Sol for cleaning. It doesn’t have an overpowering industrial, chemical smell to it so I prefer it over other cleaners.

Right!!!

I thought "Pine-Sol" killed 99% of ALL germs. I guess either I'm wrong, or we've been lied too again.

I use baking soda, vinegar, water for cleaning.

Disinfect with a bleach solution.

No germs there. :-)

Original Pine Sol is way better than the watered down weak toilet water products on the shelves these days.

Totally counter intuitive. How were they able to twist reality?

If you mix baking soda and vinegar in the same solution you are using one to cancel the other. Baking soda is a base while vinegar contains acetic acid. When they mix, carbon dioxide gas is released and a salt is precipitated into the solution. That salt is useless for cleaning.

Used separately they are pretty good.

Yeah, how exactly do you contaminate an antiseptic with bacteria?

I end up using bleach to clean my linen and towels as all the other products I have tried that say will do the same thing just do not work. One product called Oxy Clean White Revive says if it does not work after several minutes then soak for 6 hours!! and it still does not work on cotton towels!
I use bleach and water mix and the towels and linen are clean in a few minutes.
