The Astros are back in the World Series, which means Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, who owns Gallery Furniture in the Houston area, has a ton of money on the line for them to win it all. Earlier this month, he told Bleacher Report's Greg Ivory that he has $10 million in bets on the Houston Astros to win the 2022 World Series.
Now the Astros are just four wins away from earning McIngvale a payout for the ages after sweeping the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. The Astros will face off against the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2022 Fall Classic with the series set to get underway on Friday.

Right. I realized that after I post d. I thought he was a player.
Doing “performances” where some old dude does bondage on her and people watch.
“We can’t delete posts here.”
Actually, if the Admin Monitor is awake, he can do it for you.
Jim Macingvale is an icon in Houston’s charitable c.ommunity circles. A $75 million payout couldn’t happen to a more deserving fella!
I’m afraid I’ve pissed Admin off to the point that I don’t get any cooperation from them.
He’s worth $300 million dollars, is a Houston icon who lost millions of dollars when he let tons of hurricane Katrina victims live in his store and sleep on his new mattresses and beds and couches.
Everyone reading this thread should read this story that was on ESPN today, if interested in “Mattress Mack”.
Not since Rob Manfred allows them to cheat.
Does he lose the money if the Astros are caught cheating...again
As well as Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays
According to then-commissioner Bowie Kuhn, a casino was “no place for a baseball hero and Hall of Famer.” He placed both Mantle and Mays on baseball’s permanently ineligible list.
Defrocked, you say? Didn't know Pete and Shoeless Joe were men of the cloth deprived of their ecclesiastical status. Oddest but coolest baseball stat yet, tho.
Ueberroth reinstated Mays and Mantle.
I remember back in the early 80’s when he got arrested for cocaine, with intent for distribution.
He got sentenced to public service, and got addicted to it as he got so much publicity from it his Gallery Furniture became a household name.
This guy has $10,000,000 out in bets & yet many people can’t afford groceries & gas these days. Something real wrong here.
Re: 33 - There’s nothing wrong with this. It is the very American essence. Rich people, poor people - but all with opportunity.
