Same could be said for Avi Loeb's Galileo Project at Harvard. And for SETI.
Some folks have said that this is just an attempt by NASA to get into the UFO headlines, not because they are actually looking for answers.
That said, if they are looking for answers, they probably have a huge amount of data regarding movements in that space near Earth...unless the USAF men in dark suits have already taken it to their secure location.
Avi Loeb and others are looking for actual answers.
But the government? No.
It’s theatrics on steroids.
A “hand-picked” team is never up to any good.
Come in government grants, come in!
Good ideaโฆ at least NASA can confirm itโs not the Artimis SLS anyone is seeing.
The above appears to be a cover story for a massive occult-related backstory.
As many former DOD and military people have said, this is not about aliens from space, this is about "religion" (and I don't mean Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, or Islam...at least not directly).
Some people who have long investigated this subject say it is part quantum mechanics (including space/time, but not limited to it) and part consciousness-related.
Disclosure, if you can call it that, has occurred and is continuing. But it appears that whatever is being disclosed is nothing more than "we are not alone, there is something here, now. But we (the government) don't know what it is or what its intentions are."
Again, it's just talk from former military folks, but the government has a huge amount of information on this subject. Yet, despite this mountain of data, they still don't have enough to draw conclusions except to say that, whatever it is, it has been here a very long time.
Exalted committee organized to make people think, “We are on it” but designed to kick the can down the road.
He has a "nose" for this sort of thing.

I’m beginning to long for the days when “hookers and blow” was said in jest about things like this, these days it seems it’s just a sad reality.
Sixteen people for 9 months for less than $100,000. That’s <$6250 per person. NASA is really taking this seriously.
This NASA thing is just a bland part of the big picture (i.e., admission by the government that this is something "real").
I would bet that the only time spent on this study will be that of the PR team that put together this press release. The money is still in the bank.
Study unexplained UFO sightings???
Sightings have been studied for decades. They are “studied” in the sense, “We can’t make comments on ongoing investigations” or “We can neither confirm nor deny.”
NASA: "What's that you say? UFOs? That's news to us. We had better form a committee to look into that!"
“I would bet that the only time spent on this study will be that of the PR team that put together this press release. The money is still in the bank.”
Ok, as long as they’re no reducing the Muslim outreach budget.
Given all the unlikely things that had to happen for a Civilization to occur I would not be surprised if we are alone in our Galaxy. Years of searching for stray radio signals has been a failure. I figure most , if not all, of UFO sightings is just wishful thinking
Meaning 16 people already doing nothing useful.
One person earning $100K per year will cost $75K for nine months. $100K/16 people= $6,250 per person.
Aaand ten percent for the big guy.
Checklist - One homo. Check.
One tranny. Check.
One muslim. Check.
One vegan. Check.
That's how I envision it going.
