No matter which side of this issue one is on, we are the lab rats.

Wouldn't it make sense to have about half of any population getting the shot and the other half not?

Otherwise you have no control group.

Also, suppose the shot proves to be deadly. Those who didn't get it would stand a better chance of survival.

Suppose the shot turns out to be a life saver?

Those who get will be more likely to survive.

Since about half of people want or don't want the shot, isn't it in the best interest of the human race to just leave it at that?
