A North Carolina school board has voted to forfeit all planned games against a school with a transgender player after a biological girl was injured by the biological male. The Cherokee County school board voted 5-1 to forfeit all district games against Highlands School, which is in the nearby Macon County School District, “due to safety concerns.”

It’s probably the league’s decision on that.
The school can either play or forfeit.
They might have some choice on scheduling non-conference games.
The Cherokee County school board does not have control of the Macon County School District.
Eleventh thread down in Gen/Chat @ about 5:34 central savings time.
Thank you .. it’s rather odd.
I have ‘Chit/Chat (General/Chat)’ as one of my sidebar blocks but the thread doesn’t show up there.
But when I click ‘General Interest Chat’ from the FR home page it shows up where you said it was.
Odder still, there’s no listed option for ‘General Interest Chat’ on the ‘My Page Layout’ page.
Oh well, not a big deal, but after 20+ years I thought I was still missing something (which isn’t that surprising ;-)
I suspect the school with the transgender was in a separate school district. So the school board could only refuse to play by forfeiting the games.
They have no power over the other school district.
I had to go to the FR Homepage to see what you were talking about- I guess that General/Chat is just an abbreviation of General Interest Chat. But speaking of those Topics, there has been exactly 2 entries in “RLC Caucus” or “RLC Liberty Caucus” so far this year. I think that that topic is a remnant from Ron Paul’s Liberty Party, or something. I think that there is enough interest that we could/should have a “health” topic of it’s own, but I don’t know if anyone agrees. (?)
Ahh. Good point.
Different counties from what I read... However, I like what they did.
Newtown CT still has the track named for Bruce Jenner...
