The guy they are looking at shot at six people breaking into his junkyard 10 years ago.

He outdid himself this time. They went there to rob him and Kennedy killed them all(most likely), cut them up and threw them into the river. The smart one begged out.

They think Kennedy may off himself.

What puzzles me is: what are you thinking to steal from a junkyard that you will be able to haul away on bicycles?

I guess they must have planned to steal a getaway vehicle too?

Saves the cost of trial and incarceration or execution. Every (single occupancy) holding cell should be equipped with a length or rope, tie off points and a step stool. A percentage of criminals will save us a buck.
