Update from Ukraine: Oct 17, 2022 Update from Ukraine | Iran Drone Attack | Ruzzia lost Su-34 | Putin doesn't know what to do
By the way follow me on Instagram I have up to date uploads there. https://www.instagram.com/denys_pilot/

“What is probably needed are massed anti-aircraft guns utilizing fragmentation munitions.”
Something along the lines of the Russian Pantsir-S1 SA-22 Greyhound air defense missile gun system.
including Europe,..... to ensure its country's winter heating season.".......
Ukraines going to also suffer..
It’s a technology that Israel would be wise not to provide Ukraine. Sooner or later it would find its way to Hezbollah
My bad. I noticed at end of article, it won’t be operational for some time. Regardless, the mullahs would be itching to get their hands on it
Problem is, if the drones are just above the treetops (or apt. building tops), each Iron Beam can only cover a small area. Iron Beam targets by radar, and the Iranian drones are hard to pick up on radar.
You “can” put such a system on the roof of a tall building, but, then that building becomes a legit target itself. One then also almost certainly has downed drones impacting heavily built up areas.
This is not to say Iron Beam is not helpful — I just don’t see it as a comprehensive solution in this instance.
How about caged armour anti-anti tank defenses built around high value and populated buildings?
Or big wire nets. Imagine 1-2 meter sized mosquitos. Creative Engineers from non-DOD backgrounds and a few whiteboard s might crack this problem easily.
One of the best shows ever released to the television medium.
Well I will have to check it out then.
Thanks for the reply.
That Russian SU-34 that slammed into an apt. building in Yeysk sure was spectacular. Lots of munitions cooking off, too.
Not content to merely smack apartments in Ukraine, now the Russians are doing it to themselves.
