Bicycles are considered motor vehicles for traffic purposes, at least here in NC. They have to obey traffic laws for speeding, stops, signals, etc. [And yes, speeding: think a 25mph zone and a long downhill...]

I do not see dui here: resisting arrest, maybe? public intoxication?

Would a dui put points on his insurance???

I know someone it happened to. I think he got a lawyer and negotiated it down. But I always wondered what would happen if he'd just plead guilty. Jailtime is hard to believe. Suspeding his license, well he didn't have a license. Mandatory training? Again, that's for people with cars. I guess just a big fine.
