Gen Zers are calling out the popular thumbs-up emoji for being “rude” and “hostile,” even saying they feel attacked whenever they see it used in the workplace.
“For younger people, the thumbs-up emoji is used to be really passive-aggressive,” a 24-year-old Redditor wrote. “It’s super rude if someone just sends you a thumbs up,” they added. “So I also had a weird time adjusting because my workplace is the same.”
Several Reddit users agreed with the decision to cancel the emoji, saying that using it in a work environment makes the team members “unaccommodating” and seem “unfriendly.”

If a thumbs up upsets you then your date might be a bit too forward.
I think the important thing is that people stop saying that Fetterman can’t understand language. That’s hurtful
It must really suck to be a “younger people” these days if you’re a leftist.
So fragile. Crying all the time. Saying “super” and “literally” all the time. Constantly offended by small stuff.
Biggest bunch of whiners I’ve ever seen.
Back at you:

Just end it.
How’s about middle finger up?
Bunch a snow flakes!
And I thought it was a gesture of agreement. I even bookmarked a thumbs up to use for the FR forum. Just goes to show, micro aggressions are in the mind of the loonies. Even saying hello is fraught with perils.
👍
And....The ‘ a ok ‘ hand sign now has the german expression attached for distribution toward these snow flakes.
Too stupid to post the authors and date the article was published.
No surprise noob.
People need to get over themselves and stop being so easily offended.
It’s disgusting how the leftists are trying to change EVERYTHING in our entire society and culture. If there isn’t something to get actually offended by, they will fabricate an offense, like this.
Thumbs up is a positive sign of encouragement and they know it.
I’ve been retired for a long time but I would never have used an emoji in work correspondence.
But at least I know how to annoy snowflakes now.

To that "24-year-old Redditor," I would respond, "Everything you just said makes the whole world much, much dumber. Congrats and thumbs up."
What's truly sad and laughable is the "24-year-old Redditor" apparently got a "thumbs-up" text response from someone which instantly forced him into a "weird time adjusting." What a lame far-left Democrat/RINO snowflake. LOL!
