Divorce Lawyer Reveals 5 Questions To Ask Before You Marry
Forbes ^ | Oct 14, 2022 | Ginger Gentile

Kelly Chang Rickert rose to TicTok fame by giving pithy advice so you don’t end up in her office asking her to litigate (or better yet, mediate) your divorce. Happily married herself, she reveals the top 5 questions you should ask before marriage so you don't end up divorced:

1. What is your credit score? (And ask to see recent credit report)

.....

2. Children

......

3. Household chores

......

4. Sex

......

5. Health

.....

These questions are just the starting point. It is much better to have an awkward conversation now than having this conversation in front of your lawyer, or the judge in your case. Divorces and reveal embarrassing personal information, so if you cannot bring it up to your fiancé imagine how you will feel in a deposition.

Family is the building block of society.

God ordained marriage and blessed it.

You curse it continually and advise that that which God called “good” is not good at all.

Everything you advocate about marriage contributes to the destruction of our society and culture.

Is each spouse capable of gratitude? Can each one apologize if they are wrong? Is your spouse trying to keep learning and maturing — are they going to be a finer person 30 years from now than they are today? Are they trustworthy and self-sacrificing?

The are great questions. Thanks for sharing.

Our unwritten rule about money is that there are NO major expenditures outside of groceries, clothing, and medical bills for necessary medical expenditures, without discussing it first.

Even then, although the snow tires are a necessity, they are so expensive that we both know ahead of time what that is going to be.

We have NEVER fought about money. Course, I’m beyond frugal with money, having very little of it growing up. What I did have I worked too hard for to spend it foolishly. And don’t come panhandling at me either. You ‘ll get ignored or a cold, icy stare.

Women have one factor that messes with metabolism that men do not have to contend with.

Pregnancy.

Yes, it is possible to maintain a decent weight as you age, but both men and women will put on weight in the process. It happens.

But having a baby is at least a better reason for weight issues than a beer habit.

I would look for a low credit score woman. They are better lovers LOL

Maybe they have to be. Little else to offer.

What happens when you and your money are exhausted?

“A young couple dies on their way to their wedding....

On their way to get married, a young Catholic couple were involved in a fatal car accident. The couple found themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for St. Peter to process them into Heaven.
While waiting they began to wonder; Could they possibly get married in Heaven?

When St. Peter arrived they asked him if they could get married in Heaven.
St. Peter said, ‘I don’t know. This is the first time anyone has asked. Let me go find out,’ and he left.
The couple sat and waited for an answer.... for a couple of months.

While they waited, they discussed the pros and cons. If they were allowed to get married in Heaven, should they get married, what with the eternal aspect of it all?
What if it doesn’t work? Are we stuck in Heaven together forever?’

Another month passed. St. Peter finally returned, looking somewhat bedraggled.
Yes,’ he informed the couple, ‘You can get married in Heaven.’
‘Great!’ said the couple. ‘But we were just wondering; what if things don’t work out? Could we also get a divorce in Heaven?’

St. Peter, red-faced with anger, slammed his clipboard on the ground.
‘What’s wrong?’ asked the frightened couple.
‘OH, COME ON!!!’ St. Peter shouted. ‘It took me 3 months to find a priest up here! Do you have ANY idea how long it’ll take to find a lawyer?”

It has become too risky in many aspects from the male point of view especially if they are the wage earner and especially if they end up with a flakey wife who screws them over.

That’s just fact

Who the hell are these people that get married without knowing each other?

Stupid question, I guess. They’re the covidians. They’re the automatons. They’re the NPCs who zombie their way through life. I wish I could go back to the time when I was naïve about how many of them there actually are.

Trust and true friendship are what you need. Beyond that, there is really only one question that matters: Are your goals the same? If both of you have the same goals and truly wish to achieve them, nothing else really matters. In fact, your differences become an asset, because you’ll compliment each other in pursuit of your common goals.

That and keep your money separate. Separate money is the key to relationship bliss. Work together, help each other, support each other in hard times and in good times, be generous with each other, but keep it separate for sanity.
