Image result for odds for a hole in one? Each year there are 450 million rounds of golf played in the U.S., which is approximately 25,000-30,000 per course. Each course reports between 10-15 aces per year.
Maybe they promised him a “Toy Yoda”.
Sur for the prize, and now of course the emotional distress, pain and suffering...
me thinks the cc is going to be cutting a check
Sounds like both the country club management is actually reneging on the prize.
If the article is representing the situation correctly, the guy has a case.
Morrilton....figures.
They’re gonna give him that truck.....I don’t see any way out of it.
This could be a PR nightmare for the CC and especially the dealership.
The way these normally work is that golf club and/or dealer buy an insurance policies to cover the cost of the vehicle if someone actually wins.
My guess is they went cheap and did not get the insurance.
Unless there evidence that the golfer did not meet the requirements to win and in fact got a hole in one the dealer or golf club will be forced to honor the “contract”.
Hole in one insurance is not that expensive. Sounds like the country club messed up.
Pony up and buy the man a truck.
give him a hot wheels version of it.
I guess they didn’t know they have event insurance to cover these payouts or prizes.
There is some truth in stereotypes.
If the golf course and car dealership is smart, they’ll settle quick and give the guy his truck. A lawsuit could end up costing them triple the price of the truck. On top of which, the whole things reeks of bad public relations.

Even if the dealer is blameless, he will lose.
What do you expect?
Clinton country: Clinton rot.
Sounds to me like the country club management is going to be out $53,595 plus atty fees.
Let’s see what’s in the “contract” he has with the Country Club....
Strange thing that happened over on the East side of the state of Missouri within the past week was the “hole in one” winner thought he won a vehicle but the dealer/club/Hibernians are only stating that the guy “won” $16000 towards the vehicle they had on display and not the vehicle! Stay tuned for updates on that one. The money goes to charity so not sure if there will be a lawsuit or not.
Interesting situation. Hopefully the newspaper will follow up on this.
I’d get hammered on a night of heavy rain, and golf cart skid out all of the greens...
