Tucker is right, only neocons support the war. The US has zero interests in Ukraine and thusly should have no business with the war. Everything thing the US does in regards to Ukraine is counter to our interests. It spends money we do not have. That deepens inflation and further wrecks the economy. It depletes our military weapon stockpiles. That makes us weak. Biden is draining the SPR because we have prolonged the war. That makes us weak. It adverts our attention from the invasion on our southern border and from China and other real adversaries.
Only morons would follow the foreign policy and military misadventures of a demented, low-IQ’d, corrupt piece of excrement. Biden eff’s up everything he touches. He has never been right about any major issue. We should be doing the exact opposite of everything he wants.
If you support the war, then you support Biden. Only mental midgets do that.
I pretty much agree with your position. I’ve noticed that this Ukrainian thing has actually become a war of words on the internet between three groups: leftists, neocons, and classic liberals, also known today as conservatives. When I go to liberal sites all the leftists are supporting us giving more aid to Ukraine and helping them as the pure as the driven snow good guys against the evil russians. And when I go to conservative side like free republic, the neocons take the same position.
I’m a classic liberal. I can tell you with confidence that Ukraine is not a part of nato. That means that’s the sort of battle that Trump was trying to get us out of when he was president. We should not be empire building around the world, be it ukraine, afghanistan, or vietnam.
All the Ukrainian flags of people’s houses have bothered me about this thing since day one. Most people don’t understand the history of the area and seem to be just parroting what they see on their local news. Since I got rid of television in 1997 I’m immune to it simply because I don’t see it. But I do see both sides on the internet. To say I’m not a fan of what Putin is doing would be an understatement. But I don’t think we should be getting involved in Ukraine at all.
The problem is, if we had someone like Trump and power, The invasion probably never would have happened. And if it did, Trump would be a little bit better negotiator than Biden and his administration, who are actually worse than a box of rocks. They’re an embarrassment and everybody knows it. So Putin does what he wants to even if it may not be in his country’s best interest because we’re not there to really, with any seriousness, tell him he shouldn’t.
And this extends to European leadership as well. When you have week leaders, it’s only natural for bad players to exploit that for as long as they can get away with it. They know their time is short. There’s an uprising against these poor leaders and the wulkness they seem to push. The question is, will there be anything left to save by the time we finally push those people out through the ballot boxes of the world?
The fellow yelling at AOC was right about one thing. We are in very perilous times. When one looks at the alliances being made between Russia and China as I type this regarding monetary policy, we could see very serious down economic consequences. And if things get bad for them, we could see those consequences of a type that causes a massive loss of life.
The Western world is financially collapsing as I type this. And that actually includes China who is the equivalent of the Costco that everybody shops at. What this means is that countries will become desperate. And desperate times call for desperate actions.
And let us be frank here. The last thing we want right now is a desperate russia.
Agreed. We should question DC and hold them accountable. What ever happened to diplomacy? Now they say the only solution is Russia out of Ukraine. Too late for that. Another long war….
This will not end well.
