There was a episode of
Murder She Wrote where Angela Lansbury's character inherits a small, but decisive ownership stake in a professional football team. Dick Butkus is on the staff of the team. So is an actor credited as Bruce Jenner. He has a deaf daughter who is central to the plot, and who take a liking to Angela Lansbury's character.
On repeats, that actor is still credited as Bruce Jenner. Isn't that considered a hate crime, worse than anything Hitler ever did, these days?

I remember the networks pushing these shows. Of course, “60 Minutes” was mainly pushed. I remember the NBC guys hawking Punky Brewster as if it were high drama.

They have to credit the talent as they were listed on the original credits. I know you were joking…but that’s why early appearances of some actors use different names or slightly different names for some famous folks.

Didn’t there used to be an Olympic athlete that was a dude with that name?
Been so long ago, it’s hard to remember.
