Folk was my earliest introduction to music in late 50s. The Kingston Trio and PPM my favorites. Motown took over for me in HS with the British Invasion joining them in the 1960s. To this day the early 1970s are as far as my musical taste goes. The genre never grows old for me.
I’ve always said that music died with the end of the 1970s, but with some pleasant resurrections in the 1980s. After that, dead and gone.
