It is Alex Jones’s fault. He never showed for the trial whether he was even liable or not so the court automatically defaulted to guilty/liable. Had he showed up and fought it he would have most likely won hands down based on the 1st.
But come on, you know there’s an ulterior motive with the amount of the payout. This is to send a message.
I disagree. It is clearly 1st Amendment protected speech, as is all speech. It should never have gone to court. I hope it is overturned as such. I think showing up would have been seen as Jones giving legitimacy to their argument.
