She was admittedly a wild child prior to the camp. She seemed to me to be truly messed up (a God sized hole in her heart) as a young woman. Unfortunately society encouraged that behavior.
I’m glad she survived.
I have never been big on following celebrities. However, around 2005,I was struck by a calling to pray for Paris Hilton. That was strange but quite specific so I obeyed and lifted her up on prayer frequently.
A couple of years later, I attended a Youth event that featured a small time Christian band. The lead vocalist began to tell a story between songs. He and several guys were in a restaurant in Austin and Paris Hilton just happened to be there while filming an episode of her series. She and her gaggle of friends began flirting with the handsome boys making rather explicit offers. The guys explained that they were married and Christian and turned down the offers. The celebrities and entourage laughed and mocked them.
On the way out, Paris approached the singer and whispered “please pray for me”.
The singer almost apologized for getting offtrack with this story and returned to the scheduled program. Didn’t know why he had related it to the small country church group.
I was struck by the seemingly random encounter.
She does have a Good sized hole in her heart. I pray that it will be filled.
