BBC Investigation: Will the NHS care for me?
BBC ^ | Oct 10 | Tommy Jessop

Posted on 10/10/2022 12:33:39 PM PDT by RandFan

Line of Duty actor and campaigner Tommy Jessop investigates why people with a learning disability are more than twice as likely to die from avoidable causes than the rest of the population. He hears from relatives who have lost loved ones prematurely, and from a mother on whose behalf the BBC went to court so she could speak publicly about her fight to get lifesaving care for her son.

Fascinating program on the BBC which I'm surprised they aired.

Story after story of people with learning disabilities (special needs) going into hospital and dying prematurely told by their (very angry) relatives.

After each story the hospital / foundation make an apologetic statement and promise investigations/reforms.

Socialized medicine not necessarily a panacea they make it out to be...

Why would any government agency maintain an expense that can be eliminated or reduced?

Spread the message.

The NHS has numerous scandals. Too many to list or fully debate.

No, unless you "choose" euthanasia.

It isn’t, but to be honest, you get a greater standard of care if you aren’t rich enough to avoid good insurance and you won’t go bankrupt if you get cancer or need heart surgery.

If you are loaded, you can always go private. Something a lot of Americans don’t seem to be aware of as if everyone is forced to use public healthcare.

Remember that sick 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony that “celebrated” the NHS?

The NHS is or was, probably still is murdering over 120,000 people every year. Google: Liverpool Care Pathway
Many articles about the killing.

And patient care is just a cost center. The revenue generator is the political power that comes from having 1.7 million employees.
