"For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” President Biden said of Vladimir Putin in March, a month after Russia’s second unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, in remarks the Washington Post called “the most defiant and aggressive speech about Russia by an American president since Ronald Reagan.” Biden’s staff, however, immediately backpedaled, saying, “the president’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia or regime change.” Later, Biden himself dutifully resiled from regime change.

Outsiders can assist in many ways, including augmenting dissidents’ communications internally and with their diaspora, and significantly enhanced programs to transmit information into Russia (complicated by the long decline in US information-statecraft capabilities). Financial support, especially given Russian economic conditions, and not necessarily in large amounts, can also be critical. What Washington says publicly about regime-change should be concerted with the dissidents and other foreign allies. Keeping our actions covert may be impossible, but there is likely no need to ballyhoo them.

Bolton is calling for regime change. The subtext is "with assistance". It would be lost on the robots here, but doing so invites a tit-for-tat when we (as in the US) shouldn't be involved in the first place imho.
I can understand why Bolton stays a little circumspect on specifics--being too obvious might invite a response affecting him personally.
Anyone else think a good idea would be to load up Bolton and company and airdrop them into the fray to show us all how things should be done?
Trump handled Putin just fine, which is why the MIC imho has had involvement in the soft coup of 2020.
So sayeth the King of NEOCONs......
” It would be lost on the robots here, but doing so invites a tit-for-tat “
So if we kick Putin out of the Kremlin, they will kick Biden out of the White House?
Seems like a pretty great idea.
Correct on all points!
Isn’t it ironic that Joe the Retard Biden thinks some other world leader needs removed from office?
Bolton is always calling for Regime Change, just as he did with Trump.
I’d much rather get rid of Biden and the Democrats.
Bolton needs a straitjacket.
Bolton has largely fallen out of favor with the Defense community because of his antics. He is a globalist.
Too bad the Russians aren’t buying it one more time.
I prefer to see Biden go. He is the one who is causing me misery. Not Putin. But I suppose Putin is causing the members of the Worship George Soros church and the members of the Worship Lying Joe Biden Brigade on Free Republic.com uneasiness.
True and China is the bigger threat at this point.
Meanwhile Xi is taking islands, enslaving and torturing Uighurs, imprisoning Christians, is playing games on the Indian border, and is using force to take disputed islands.
Nothing to see here folks.
Regime change in Moscow means immediate regime change in DC, Brussels, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome. We’ve reached the end of the line. DC needs to authorize a settlement very quickly for I believe we have crossed the point of no return.
That’s what we should be focused on, and we certainly don’t need Russian assistance or assistance from anyone else for that matter.
They had regime change in Germany after WWI.
We’re at the come to Jesus moment.
